Hands of a Sportsman hosted its 2nd Annual Youth Deer Hunt on Sept. 23. HOAS partnered with The Land Trust for Central North Carolina and the National Wild Turkey Federation of Davie County, providing a day of hunting on 1,100 acres along the beautiful Yadkin River in Davie County.

The hunt hosted 16 kids along with mentors, volunteers and family members overseeing each hunter for a safe and fun filled day in the woods. The youth harvested 4 deer and 1 wild pig on the hunt along with a meal provided for lunch. More importantly, each kid learned about safety, conservation and got the chance to enjoy the outdoors with their family.
