All hunters that would like to be in the drawing for any of the 2019 hunts will need to fill out a new application for each desired hunt on the website. Turkey season is right around the corner and before you know it, deer season will be knocking at the door. If you know of any youth, disable individual or veteran who would like to experience the outdoors again or for the first time; go to the website and fill out an application. Lets get the word out. We need to tell all of our friends and have them tell their friends. Click for Hunter Applications |
HOAS held its first annual Youth Squirrel Hunt this year in Taylorsville. Even with all the rain, it turned out to be a huge success. We had 12 kids hunting with 12 squirrels and then 18 kids in the turkey shoot. There are so many people who helped make this a success and we'd like to thank them: Food Lion , David Hammer, Chris Ramsey, HG & G Sports, Riverview Sports, Terry Kerley, DH Baseball, Shannon Pennel, Mark Lackey, Sipe Lumber and Brushy Mountain Coon Club. The Dog handlers were Arthur Duncan, Michael McIntosh Jeff Hudgins, Donnie, Vernon Wagner, Gerald Rathbone, Daniel McKinney. The Gun range instructors were Jimmy Cook, Dwayne Tedder, Ken Harrington, Don Simmons, Sergeant Hamilton and David Fox. A special thanks to the landowners Rowe Bumganer, Bobby Sharpe , Kenneth Bratton and Adam Jolly |
